Top Sound Productions announces the 2006 Top Sounding Original Music Contest

 

Raleigh, NC, May 15^th, 2006 --- Top Sound Productions, a Raleigh, NC-based Audio Recording, Engineering and Production company, announced today that it would sponsor a music contest for local songwriters.

 

The 2006 Top Sounding Original Music Contest, as it is called, is open to all genres of music and artists from one-man-bands to multi-instrument groups.

 

“Last year's contest was such an unbelievable success and with such quality entries by local songwriters that it made our job picking a winner really difficult,” says Gene Cookmeyer, owner of Top Sound Productions. “We look forward to this year's contest which will have three winners, with cash and studio time as prize offerings.  For the first time, contest entries can now be submitted from anywhere within the U.S., and the winners will be able to use their studio time prizes for most of Top Sound Productions’ services including our mixing, editing and mastering services.  Local winners and those willing to travel to the Raleigh area will also have the option of using our studio for recording, giving them access to our high quality recording equipment and audio engineering services.”

 

“It's all about the music and our love of working with artists,” says Gene, “that inspires us to offer this contest for our second year.  Last year's winner, Jeremy Blair of Durham NC, brought his own unique identity and ideas into the studio, resulting in a great set of musical arrangements of his original songs.  We look forward to choosing this year’s winners with much anticipation and excitement.”
